It is the end of March and we are about to open again. Winter has hit the garden hard and destroyed things like our postbox and interior gates. It has allowed Heather though to pull my book together and it is now at Gomer Press being printed hopefully for release around 14th April. We will be doing a book launch in the gallery as well as other places so I feel very excited about it. We have included part of my biography which I have set in place by telling a bit about the history of Cuba. There are sections on each of the genres of work I have created within and I have dictated an opening page on each about why they are important to me and what they mean in my development as an artist. There are also brief sections on other projects like Artists Pembrokeshire and the e magazine attached to that and The Art and Faith Trail. My music in its different guises – jazz and semi-classical gets a section and finally my CV. For more of everything I am asking people to check out this website. I am grateful to Heather for all the work she has put in as you who know me well know I am not good with computers: a lot of the photographic images are hers (see www.heatherbennett.co.uk for more) and she has designed and layed out the book.
As far as exhibitions go I have been exhibiting at The Millinery Works in Islington and at The Waterfront Gallery in Milford Haven. I am currently working on a video installation which I have been scripting ovber the Winter months whilst trying to come to terms with Apple as a system for editing software – not easy I find but I am determined not to be beaten.
